Gin Basil Smash
Created by the bartender Jörg Meyer, from Le Lion in Hamburg and is a new classic. In our recipe we swap the lemon juice for kumquats, fruit originating in China. It has the bitter pulp and edible rind.
5cl Level Gin Premium
4 basil leaves
Add the basil and kumquats in the shaker and crush with a muddler. Then, add liquid sugar, gin and ice. Stir vigorously to cool and mix all ingredients. Stir vigorously to cool and mix all ingredients. Strain and serve in a Old Fashioned glass.
